We had a wonderful World Book Day at Springhill today πŸ“š Lots of the children dressed up as their favourite characters and the staff had to dress up as an adjective of their choice πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ During assembly the children had to guess what adjective the staff were πŸ˜†We enjoyed lots of different activities associated with books, but we think the highlight was getting read to by the different teachers and the P7s reading with the P1s πŸ“–πŸ˜„A brilliant day to celebrate reading - hopefully it encourages everyone to pick up a great story and read by themselves or alongside someone at home πŸ™ŒπŸΌ ... P3 worked very hard this week in their Numeracy. They made wonderful paper plate pizzas showcasing their knowledge of fractions. They labelled their paper plate pizzas with either one whole or two equal halves. πŸ•The class also worked super hard in finding out 1/2 of amounts using their knowledge of doubles and cubes to help them split amounts into two equal halves. The class also enjoyed learning about nouns and worked hard in identifying nouns in both sentence form and by looking at pictures and discussing the nouns that they have discovered. πŸ“πŸ‘€The class also made lovely spring flowers out of tissue paper! 🌸🌼🌺Well done P3!
